Apart from his starring role in organizing mass murder in the Middle East and elsewhere as defense secretary and vice president, the one thing Cheney will most be remembered for is of course shooting his hunting partner in the face during a pheasant hunt.
He did make a contribution to business culture, however. During the Bush campaign he was appointed chairman of the vice presidential search committee. After a long and arduous search, reportedly leaving no stone unturned, Dick decided that he himself was the best candidate.
