Senators’ Opportunity to Expand HSAs • Eagle Forum

Eagle Forum joined 32 like-minded organizations this week on a coalition letter urging the United States Senate to expand Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) in the reconciliation bill. The letter explains that “expanding HSAs means more Americans can save their hard-earned tax dollars, are allowed a significant vehicle for growing their savings, and are given the freedom of portability.”

The “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” allows those who have Flexible Savings Accounts (FSAs) to roll over their funds into HSAs tax-free. It also permits Medicare Part A contributions to HSAs and broadens the scope of wellness to cover fitness expenses. These policies provide individuals and families with opportunities to take control of their health affordably.

As the coalition letter states, “Building on this success will give Americans more control over their own health – a perfect complement to President Trump’s ‘Make America Healthy Again’ initiative.”

Eagle Forum was founded by Phyllis Schlafly, a dynamic and charismatic leader who inspired countless women and men to participate in the process of self-government and public policy-making so that America will continue to be a land of individual liberty, with respect for the nuclear family, public and private virtue, and private enterprise. For nearly fifty years, Eagle Forum’s network of state organizations has led the charge to mobilize the grassroots to defend the founding principles of the United States.
