Forbes magazine, which annually compiles a ranking of the richest people who make up the ruling class in the United States, writes that in 2025,
‘Donald Trump had the most profitable year of his life’.

The connection between political power and the economic interests of the ruling class is highlighted by the fact that, as soon as Trump took office in the White House, he launched a military operation against Venezuela, presenting it as a campaign against drug cartels. It is led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who explains it this way:
“Drug cartels, now correctly classified as foreign terrorist organizations thanks to President Trump, are taking control of our communities, sowing violence and poisoning our families with Fentanyl. The illegitimate regimes of Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela are intentionally amplifying the chaos. Meanwhile, the Chinese Communist Party uses its diplomatic and economic influence, as in the case of the Panama Canal, to oppose the United States and turn sovereign nations into vassal states.”
The real reason is another: Venezuela, which freed itself from US domination by taking control of its own resources, has the largest oil reserves in the world.
In Europe, Trump writes on his Truth Social website,
“I am prepared to impose severe sanctions on Russia once all NATO countries have begun to do the same and stop buying oil from Russia.”
He thus presents NATO as an equal alliance, when it has always been an organization under US command through which Washington has provoked and waged war against Russia via Ukraine in order to divide Europe to the advantage of the United States. After staging the launch of Russian drones against Poland, which turned out to be fake, the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, US General Grynkewich, appointed by President Trump, launched a major military operation, “Eastern Sentry,” to further strengthen NATO’s deployment against Russia in Europe. While the United States is deploying intermediate-range nuclear missiles in Germany capable of reaching Moscow and even more distant targets, Poland is calling for US nuclear weapons to be deployed on its territory against Russia. Russia responded with a large-scale joint exercise with Belarus, during which nuclear missile tests were also carried out.
At the same time, NATO opened a liaison office in Amman, Jordan, through the Mediterranean Dialogue with seven partners, including Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Mauritania, Morocco, and Tunisia.
